The multilayered outer coating of the whole wheat kernel, our bran has not been heated, steamed, cooked, or altered in any way. It is a byproduct of the milling process used to transform wheat into flour; as such, it is also frequently called Miller’s Bran.

Soaking bran in warm water overnight at room temperature helps to deactivate phytates in the bran that may hinder absorption of minerals in the digestive tract. Packed with nutrition, it is also a good source of protein, iron, and B Vitamins.
